IMMUNIZATION POLICY

We want you to know that Camp J takes the health and safety of your child very seriously and as such, has adopted the following policy: all members of our community must be adequately immunized against all preventable diseases as recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices*. Immunization records will be requested upon registration. As of January 2023, Camp J is not requiring the COVID-19 vaccine for campers. We reserve the right to make changes to this policy per guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The routine vaccination of all children and staff is an important public health matter, especially in the confined environment of a community center with vulnerable populations present.

For more information visit the following CDC website:  https://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/schedules/hcp/imz/child-adolescent.html

*Exceptions to the immunization policy will only be granted where the camper’s health care practitioner determines that a medical exemption is necessary to maintain the camper’s health.
