The Temple is planning a tour of Israel June 10-22, led by Rabbi David Ariel-Joel.
The group will explore Israel of the past, visiting major sites in Jerusalem in the Old and New City and the newly excavated “City of David.” They will enjoy the beauty and architecture of Tel Aviv, tour the newly renovated Israel museum and explore the ancient city of Acre in the Western Galilee.
The group will explore Israel of the present, celebrating Shabbat in Jerusalem; enjoy home hospitality in a settlement to better understand the issues between Israel and the Palestinians; have leisure time in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem; ride Jeeps in the Golan Heights; meet with young Israelis about to join the Army; Ranger drive in the Banias River; and take a guided tour of Yad Vashem and the Supreme Court.
They will also look at the future of Israel, visiting the company that manufactures electric cars and other high tech industries.
This trip is designed for those who have been to Israel before and first-timers.
There will be an informational meeting on Sunday, March 4, at 4 p.m. at The Temple. RSVP to Becky King, 212-2028.
