The Temple – Congregation Adath Israel Brith Sholom, hosted its 6th Annual Tribute Dinner in honor of Rabbi Emeritus Chester B. Diamond’s 75th Birthday. “Diamond’s Diamond Celebration” was held Sunday, June 6 at The Temple, and included a cocktail hour, a fabulous silent auction, and an elaborate dinner.
Over 250 people turned out to honor a man whose life’s work has been dedicated to his congregation and the Jewish community. Rabbi Gaylia R. Rooks, Dr. Leonard and Lynn Goddy and Marcia Schuster chaired the event. “We are all truly touched by the outpouring of love and well-wishes Rabbi Diamond received from the congregation and broader community,” said Rabbi Rooks. “We’re so glad we could honor our ‘gem’ of a Rabbi.”
