Ages 55+

The Kindred Active Adult Series is a holistic wellness program for Louisville residents, ages 55-75.

Participants in the Kindred Active Adult Series enjoy a multitude of enriching and fulfilling programs in fitness, social events, cultural events and education.  Whether you are looking to build a new group of friends, get healthy or expand your personal horizons there is an activity for you.

Fitness

Many of our fitness programs are geared towards the Active Adult.

Recommended classes include:

  • Yoga
  • Tai Chi
  • Light Weights
  • Active Adult Fitness
  • Chair Exercise

Do you want to get social and get more involved?  Enjoy these ongoing programs:

Pickleball
One of the fastest-growing sports in the U.S. Pickleball is a combination of tennis and ping pong and designed to be easy to learn and play. Fun for any age from 5 to 90 and beyond! Pickleball is played at The Trager Family JCC Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays 8 a.m.- Noon and Sundays 1-4 p.m. Click here for more information.

Garden Volunteer Program
The  Garden is maintained by Wayne Riley, The J Summer Campers and Garden Volunteers from the spring until the fall. The garden is a learning laboratory for people of all ages who want to connect to the food that they eat. Most of the food grown in the Garden is donated to the JFCS Food Pantry.

Volunteers are needed each Thursday from 10 a.m.-noon. Please bring water and come in work clothes that can get dirty. Gloves and tools will be provided. Click here for more information.
