Teen Topics: Great Wolf Lodge

Taking advantage the Martin Luther King Day holiday, 45 Jewish middle school students participated in the Teen Connection program at the Jewish Community Center and traveled to Cincinnati, OH, for a day of fun at the Great Wolf Lodge indoor water park.

The Great Wolf Lodge trip was subsidized in part by funds from the Louisville Jewish Teen Initiative (LJTI). It was open to all Jewish 6th-8th graders and did not require JCC membership or synagogue affiliation. LJTI programs are designed to provide social activities for Jewish middle school students where they can connect with their peers and have fun with Jewish content.

The water park program was a great success and many of the participants are looking forward to a planned Presidents Day outing on Monday, February 15, when they will take a ski trip to Perfect North. The program is scheduled for 9 a.m.-6 p.m. and will cost $50 per person.

Middle schoolers should also mark their calendars for a Chocolate Seder at the JCC on Sunday, March 28, from 2-4 p.m. The cost for this program is $5.
