Family and YLD Missions to Israel

Looking for an opportunity to visit Israel this summer? If you want to participate in a family mission or if you are a young adult interested in traveling with other young Jewish leaders, the Jewish Federations of North America may have the answer for you.

The JFNA Summer Family Mission II will take families to Israel from Sunday, June 19-Wednesday, June 29. Participants will experience the great spirit of Jerusalem, the ultra chic of Tel Aviv and the extraordinary beauty of the Galilee as they explore the Israel behind the headlines. This mission will also include an outdoor bar/bat mitzvah ceremony for teens who want to participate in this coming-of-age ceremony in Israel.

JFNA is also planning a National Young Leadership Summer Trip to Israel from Sunday, June 26-Tuesday, July 5.

Participants in this trip will include hundreds of young professionals, ages 25-45. JFNA expects a very diverse group – people from all across North America, from many backgrounds, involved in a myriad of professions and volunteer activities, married and single.

Participants won’t just see Israel through the window of a bus. They will experience Israel, kayaking the headwaters of the Jordan River, climbing Masada before dawn and meeting with members of the IDF.

Plus, the group will get an insider’s look at how the Jewish Community of Louisville partners with Federations across North America and JFNA, as the most effective Jewish community-building organization on the planet, that unites and cares for Jews in Israel and around the world.

Participants in this mission will be asked to support Jewish social services in Israel by making a suggested voluntary minimum gift to the JCL’s Annual Campaign of at least $500.
