Brunch & Brown Bag Blessings Program at Adath Jeshurun

Brown Bag Blessings, AJ’s new community outreach program, will provide simple sack lunches to those in need in our community. Are you a master PB&J maker? We’d be delighted to have you! Never wielded a wad of PB onto bread? No worries, let us show you how it’s done!
Come schmooze, nosh, and schmear at AJ today for a light brunch and our inaugural Brown Bag Blessings Packing Party.
10:00 AM – A light lunch featuring bagels, muffins, fruit and refreshments.
10:30 AM – The preparation and packing of 125 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, snacks, water and handwritten notes of encouragement for those in need.
The bags will be donated to the Americana Community Center, a non-profit organization that serves refugee, immigrant, and underserved populations. This Tikkun-Olam driven event is open to family and friends of all ages, and there is no cost to participate. Students, parents and grandparents are all welcome to perform this mitzvah together!.
