On Tuesday, September 14, The American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) brought its director of policy and government affairs, Ambassador Brad Gordon, to 21c Museum Hotel in Louisville for a reception and briefing on “Iran and the Threats Facing Israel’s Security.” Nearly 90 people turned out to hear his presentation.
Amb. Gordon sounded a warning about how close Iran is to achieving its goal of developing nuclear weapons capability and explained how this is Islamic republic, controlled by President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and a group of clerics poses an existential threat to Israel, threatens to destabilize the entire Middle East region and is a danger to the entire world.
Amb. Gordon also made a case for supporting U.S. legislation imposing sanctions on Iran.
