2013 Annual Campaign

The JCL Annual Campaign is the Jewish Community of Louisville’s annual fund-raising effort that enables the community to sustain our family of vibrant agencies, a wide variety of programs and services, and to meet our responsibilities to Jews-at-risk locally, nationally, in Israel and around the world.

Through the Jewish Community of Louisville, the Campaign supports many, many things. From community relations to Shalom Baby to Hillel to leadership development to Holocaust education and much more.  Learn more about how your contributions enrich lives by reading our Faith in Our Future stories, or learn how Campaign Touches Lives.  From pledges to tributes and volunteering, JCL helps improve the lives of thousands of Jews locally and around the world.

The Campaign provides significant funding for our family of agencies: the Jewish Community Center (part of the JCL), Jewish Family and Career Services, the Louisville Hebrew School, The Temple Hebrew School, the High School of Jewish Studies, Torah Academy, the Vaad Hakashruth and more.

The JCL Annual Campaign also helps us fulfill our obligation to Jews around the world. We engage in joint projects with our friends in the Western Galilee region of Israel through Partnership with Israel. We feed the hungry, provide medications and assist with shelter in the former Soviet Union, Argentina and elsewhere. We help resettle immigrants in Israel from around the world. We provide ongoing support for the Ethiopian Jews in Israel, and much, much more.

JCL is a partner of the Jewish Federations of North America, and together we work with the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (JDC) and the Jewish Agency for Israel (JAFI). Please live generously and support the Annual Campaign to keep the Louisville Jewish community strong, and to fulfill our obligation to Jews-at-risk around the world.

Stu Silberman is the Campaign Director. Tzivia Levin is the Young Adult Division Director.
