YAD Marks End of Summer with Picnic August 19

The Jewish Community of Louisville’s Young Adult Division (YAD) invites young adults and young families to spend a fun-filled afternoon at the annual YAD Picnic at Hogan’s Fountain in Cherokee Park. The 2012 picnic will be on Sunday, August 19, from 4:30-6:30 p.m.

Share in the festivities, socialize with your peers and enjoy a nice afternoon at the park before the start of school!

“We are both so excited for the upcoming YAD Picnic at Hogan’s Fountain and expecting a great turnout from our friends, family and the rest of the JCL Community!” said this year’s picnic co-chairs, Tracy Geller and Hilary Pohn.

“There will be crafts for kids of all ages and Gelato provided to everyone,” said Geller. “Pack a picnic dinner for your family and be sure to tell your friends!” You may also want to bring a picnic blanket to enjoy your meal.

The late summer YAD event is perfect for a Sunday afternoon and a great way to spend time with family while catching up with friends and meeting other young adults. New this year, the arts and crafts program will include origami led by Emma Kronenberg. The park is a fun place to go at any time, but it is even better to share the experience with a huge group of friends from throughout the community.

The event is sure to be a fun and relaxing event that you do not want to miss.
