JCC Member Mask Updates 08.02.21

Dear JCC Family,

It has been quite a journey for us all over the past 16 months and while we thought the pandemic would be behind us by now, it is clear that COVID-19 is still evolving and presenting new challenges. As cases increase and the Delta variant continues to spread, we will be taking additional precautions as a community to keep our most vulnerable JCC members safe and healthy, especially our children and youth who are not yet able to receive the vaccine.

Beginning on Wednesday, Aug. 4 at 5 p.m., we will implement the following at the JCC:

• Masks will be required for everyone in indoor public spaces throughout the JCC. This includes the lobby, hallways and stairwells.
• Vaccinated adult members using our Health & Wellness areas will have the option to wear a mask while exercising. Health & Wellness areas include gymnasiums, workout areas, group fitness and the aquatics areas – indoor and out.
  • Unvaccinated members should continue to wear a mask at all times while in the building.
• Masks will be required for all school-age children and youth, kindergarten and older throughout the indoor facility.
• Our JCC staff is committed to continuing to create a healthy and safe environment for our members and guests.

These guidelines will hopefully help bring our JCC community safely through this new phase. We appreciate your patience and shared commitment to your entire JCC community and encourage everyone to get vaccinated.
