Temple Shalom celebrated its double chai (36th) anniversary with a gala dinner at The Olmsted on Sunday November 18.
The evening included remarks from President Judy Sharp, a musical performance that included some customized lyrics by Cantor-in-Residence Adelle Nicholson and a video photo album presentation put together by President-Elect Matt Doctrow. The presentation highlighted special occasions in the congregation’s history and many past and present members. Special recognition was given to Rabbi Stanley Miles for his many years of service to the congregation.
To cap off the celebration and provide an extra reason to rejoice, Sharp wrapped up the program with the announcement that Temple Shalom has met the challenge grant set forth by an anonymous donor and raised enough money to pay off its mortgage.
