It is time to start gathering a team for the Republic Golf Challenge, held Monday, June 25, at the Standard Country Club. The event benefits both the Jewish Community Center and Jewish Family & Career Services.
The event continues to support many of the necessary programs done by the JCC and JFCS including JFCS’s Job Seekers Resource Group and the JFCS Food Pantry.
At the JCC, money raised from the event supports programs like free senior lunches and early childhood education.
Registration is $275 per player. The registration on the 25th opens at 10:30 a.m. with the shotgun start kicking things off at 12:30 p.m.
With the move to Standard Country Club last year, the event was expanded to include a new Tennis Challenge and Bridge Tournament. Both events are back for a second year.
The Tennis Challenge will begin at 2 p.m. It is a mixed doubles tournament, round robin format for 3.0 or below and 3.5 or above players. Players can register as individuals or doubles teams. Registration is $60 per person and includes dinner.
The Duplicate Bridge Tournament will run from 1-5 p.m. It would be best to select partners and register together; however, the $25 registration fee is per person. If participants would like to join everyone for dinner, the cost will be $35 per person.
Registration for all events are due by June 10. For more information, contact Sally Hollingsworth at 452-6341 ext. 240.
