(Editor’s Note: Jewish Youth Director Kari Semel is leading a group of Jewish Louisville teens in Poland for the 2018 March of the Living, and she will be sending home photos of their experiences.)Today was a difficult day on the March. We visited Majdanek death camp, which is notoriously one of the toughest sites to visit. It is essentially untouched. Almost all of the buildings are still intact, and it made for a powerful experience. Now we are headed to Warsaw for Shabbat, where we are attending various Polish synagogues and enjoying a day with members of the Warsaw Jewish community. I won’t be emailing tomorrow during the day, but will hopefully get an email out after Shabbat.
