The Jewish Federation of Louisville knows that building community is more than raising money – it is getting people together to socialize, laugh and have a good time, so on Sunday, September 14, at 6 p.m. at The Temple, the Jewish Federation invites you to an evening of comedy fun complete with dinner.
Sara Armor will emcee the evening. Comedian Dave Goldstein will present the opening set and he will be followed by headliner Steve Hofstetter.
For dinner you have a choice. An assortment of food stations will offer you choices of pasta, tacos made your way and salads. And, of course, there will be desserts. A Vaad approved option is available upon advance request.
The full evening is just $36 person or $25 for those 30 and under.
Steve Hofstetter is the newly minted owner of Louisville’s The Laughing Derby at Comedy Caravan and a long-time performer on the comedy circuit. Perhaps you’ve seen him on national TV, because he was host and executive producer of Fox Network’s “Laughs,” he’s appeared on ESPN’s “Quite Frankly,” CBS’ “Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson,” Showtime’s “White Boyz in the Hood,” and more.
He’s one of the top acts on the college circuit, hosted “Four Quotas” on Sirius Satellite Radio and his “Sports Minute (Or So)” was syndicated on over 170 radio stations and published in over 30 newspapers.
Hoffstetter performed at Comedy Caravan many times before purchasing the business earlier this year. He even brought his Jewish humor to a Young Adult event for the Jewish Federation of Louisville a number of years ago.
Dave Goldstein was the featured performer at Temple Shalom’s Annual Dinner last May. He’s made multiple appearances on NBC’s “Late Night with Conan O’Brien” and has performed stand up comedy on The Comedy Network, Sirius/XM Satellite Radio, the National Lampoon Radio Network and Comedy.net.
So treat yourself to a night of laughter and food and bring your friends along for this big Federation event. RSVP online at www.jewishlouisville.org/funny-jews or contact Kristy at 238-2739.
