The Madison/Ulster Project visits The Temple
Friday, July 17, 6:00 p.m.
Since 1975, The Ulster Project has been bringing 15 year-old Catholics and Protestants from Northern Ireland and pairing them with teenagers in cities across the U.S. with the primary mission of fostering understanding and healing wounds between the two fractious religious groups in Northern Ireland.
Madison, Indiana, has participated as a host community for 15 years. The combined group of teens in each city spends the month of July participating in service projects, various religious services, fun and family activities, and peace education training. One of these will include joining us at our Oneg Shatt and Shabbat Service on July 17 at 6:00 and 6:30 pm. This is the fourth year that Madison/Ulster participants will visit The Temple and we look forward to welcoming them again this summer.
