Shabbat Scholar at Adath Jeshurun

Louisville Melton Director Simon Isham will speak about his trip to Israel in January as part of International Melton’s Solidarity Mission. In true Melton style, the focus of the trip was adult Jewish education regarding the October 7 attack by Hamas, and its aftermath in the succeeding 100 days.
Simon will share about the group’s experience, including hearing from a range of speakers, such as national security experts, Arab Israeli journalists, and Jewish and Druze civilians, each of whom has experienced this war in his or her own way. They also saw firsthand the destruction of the Nova music festival, Sderot, and Kibbutz Kfar Aza.
The Kiddush lunch will be sponsored by the Julie Olson Shabbat Scholar Fund.
