Mind, Body, and Spirit
Thursday, April 26 | 9:30 – 3:30 pm
We’ll have something for everyone at this year’s Senior University on Thursday, April 26. Our keynote speaker, Tori Murden-McClure, will set the tone for this year’s engaging day of learning. As the first woman to row solo across the Atlantic Ocean and ski to the geographic center of the South Pole, this President of Spalding University will share what it means to challenge your whole self: mind, body, and spirit. Our other speakers will include Stephen Reily, Director of the Speed Art Museum; Andy Weingarten, WAVE 3 meteorologist; Shanna Portman, yoga instructor from Eternal Health Yoga; Rabbi Or Zohar and Feliza Bascara Zohar, visiting from Israel, who will lead a prayer workshop and teach about Reform Kabbalah; Tim Sullivan, Courier Journal sports writer; and Cantor David Lipp, of Adath Jeshurun. It wouldn’t be Senior University without Mickey and Carol Heideman’s famous mushroom barley soup for lunch.
