Senior University
Thursday, April 14
Starts at 9:30 am
In Memory of Arnie Friedman
“Back By Popular Demand”
Arnie’s ‘last wish’ for Senior University was to invite the most memorable and enjoyable speakers from past workshops over the years. The committee is hard at work organizing an outstanding event that will be interesting, educational, and enjoyable for all who attend, to honor Arnie and his years as Chair of Senior University.
The Temple’s annual community-wide Senior University will take place on April 14. This daylong program begins with registration and a continental breakfast at 9:30 am. There will be a keynote address at 10 am by Rabbi David Dalin, “Louis D. Brandeis: The First Supreme Court Justice,” followed by a choice of nine different workshops led by rabbis and community experts, spread over three “class periods” throughout the day.
Topics include health, religion, sports, history, senior issues, and music.
A healthful lunch is also served, as well as a closing program at 2:30 pm that features dessert. Although the workshops are designed to be of special interest to Jewish senior adults however everyone is welcome.
Admission of $12 covers all food and expenses. You may pay at the door, but pre-registration is requested. Call 502-423-1818.
