AJ Hamentaschen Bake

The holiday of Purim centers around four mitzvahs: The reading of the megillah, the festive purim meal, sending gifts of food, and giving gifts to the poor. This event will provide a fun opportunity to fulfill the mitzvah of “Mishloach Manot” – sending gifts of food.
Enjoy a fun afternoon of creative hamentaschen baking at Adath Jeshurun, 2401 Woodbourne Avenue. Learn to make these scrumptious goodies, and take some home with you! Hamentaschen will also be given to residents of nursing homes and assisted-living facilities, so you can have fun and do a mitzvah too! Kids get to decorate creative cards and gift bags.
Cost is only $5 per family. Reservations are needed in order to have enough ingredients for everyone to participate. Reservation deadline is February 6, 2017. Reservations can be made at www.adathjeshurun.com/hamentaschen or by calling the Adath Jeshurun office at 458-5359.
