Children Show Their Creativity at First PJ Plus Event

The Jewish Community of Louisville’s PJ Plus program got off to a successful start. Its first program on Sunday, March 7, at the Paint Spot filled up with 26 children in kindergarten through second grade.

Those who attended learned about Passover, met friends – old and new, and used their creativity and artistic skills to paint Seder plates. The children used many different colors and some even painted pictures of the objects placed on the plates during the holiday celebration.

The children also ate pizza, completed Passover word searches and mazes, and enjoyed a friendly game of Passover Jeopardy, which challenged them to share their knowledge of the Seder and the story of Passover.

Watch for more PJ Plus events in the future. For more information, or to be added to the PJ Plus email list, contact Julie Hollander, director of youth and camping, at jhollander@jccoflouisville.org or 238-2708.
