The Jewish Foundation of Louisville will hold its first Annual Meeting for those who have established endowment funds and those who are considering establishing endowment funds on Tuesday, May 15, at the Jewish Community Center.
The meeting will have three parts.
Those who already have established funds are invited for a business meeting at 4:30 p.m., where they will hear a report from representatives of Northern Trust on how the Foundation’s money is managed, and they will have the opportunity to ask questions.
The group will then move to the Patio Gallery at 5 p.m., where they will be joined for wine and cheese by people who would like to learn more about how endowments work and how to establish them, and how our community benefits from the invested funds.
The formal program will begin at 6 p.m. and will include a special announcement by Jewish Community of Louisville Board Chair David Klein.
The Jewish Foundation of Louisville is the endowment program of the Jewish Community of Louisville. It includes all of the endowment funds that resided with the Jewish Community Foundation’s Foundation for Planned Giving and the JCC’s Second Century funds.
Peter Resnik is chair of the event and the Jewish Foundation of Louisville and Glenn Levine is chair of its Endowment Investment Committee. David Klein is chair of the JCL Board; Laurence Nibur is treasurer; Stu Silberman is president and CEO; Stew Bromberg is vice president and chief development officer; and Jamie Pillsbury is vice president and chief financial officer.
