Jewish families will have a chance to come together at the Jewish Community Center’s Community Shabbat Chanukah dinner in the Linker Auditorium at the JCC on Dec. 19.
Families are welcome to come spread some Chanukah cheer with songs, crafts, book exchange and a kosher dinner.
“The Community Shabbat Chanukah dinner is an opportunity to get Jewish families together to celebrate this sacred day during Chanukah,” said Betsy Schwartz, senior director of camp and youth services at the JCC. “It’s a kid-friendly holiday, and we are happy to use the gathering to push literacy with the book exchange.”
Bring your family’s menorah and a wrapped children’s book (with age-appropriateness written on the outside) for each child you bring, and don’t forget your family’s sense of fun!
The event is hosted by Yariv and Keren Benabou, Dave and Jen Elster, Paul and Brett Friedman, Andrew and Ali Ignatow, Sean and Melanie Wachsman, Bryan and Kristen Yoffe.
The Community Shabbat Chanukah Dinner will be 5:30 p.m. Friday, December 19 in the Linker Auditorium at the JCC.
Register by December 1 to get Early Bird Pricing, adults $13, children ages 3-12 $7. Regular prices are $15 for adults and $8 for children. Registration closes on December 16. Vegetarian options available if registered by Dec. 12.
