Thank you to all donors and volunteers who provided time, money and food to make sure Gina Crutcher and her son DeShawn have a new home at 2925 Dumesnil St. This is our 10th year of sponsoring and building homes through the Louisville Habitat for Humanity Program. We are partners in the ICE House: Interfaith Community Effort, where members of the Jewish, Presbyterian and Episcopalian faiths work together and change lives. We started in October, and this house will be dedicated in December.
Thanks first of all to our Rabbinic Crew leaders for their enthusiasm: Rabbi David Ariel-Joel, Cantor David Lipp, Rabbi Joe Rapport and Rabbi Robert Slosberg.
Thanks to the financial donors: Adath Jeshurun and Cantor Lipp, Gay Adelstein, Gladys and Sonny Bass, Mindy and Jacob Blum, Doug Boston, Ed Cohen, Phil Flarsheim, Barbara and Eddie Goldberg, Glen Goldenberg, Sonia Hess, Nadyne Lee and grandsons, David and Carolyn Neustadt and Sandy Weiss.
Thanks always to our builders: Gay Adelstein, Doug Boston, Gregg Davidoff and friends, Bill Fitzgerald, Drew and Michael Friedman, Lance Gilbert, Susan and Mark Glazer, Glen Goldenberg, Colin Joffe, Matt Karr, Julie and Josh Latzko, Susan and Joe Lancaster, Doug Roemer and Evie Topcik.
Once again we have used the work of our hands (one way or another) to provide a home for a family leading to self-assurance, power of ownership and thankfulness. We helped strengthen a neighborhood too. Thanks to all you made a difference.
