Spring Break Camp at the JCC Was “Out of This World” Fun

During spring break, camp at the Jewish Community Center was the place to be. With 122 children enrolled from April 4-8, camp sessions for both young children (16 months-4 years) and kindergartners through fifth graders were totally full.

With the theme “Out of this World,” campers of all ages enjoyed different creative activities every day. Bricks 4 Kids was the biggest hit of the week for children of all ages. Using Legos, the older children built space ships and motorized Mars vehicles, and the younger ones created dinosaurs.

There were opportunities for arts and crafts projects, and the older campers took a field trip to the Falls of the Ohio.

Spring Break Camp was a great experience. JCC Summer Camp will be, too. Have you enrolled your children yet? Information is available online at www.jewishlouisville.org/camp; or call 459-0660 today. Don’t delay. The camps are filling up fast.

The JCC is part of the Jewish Community of Louisville. Becky McKiernan is the JCL’s early childhood director and Julie Hollander is the children’s director.
