On, Thursday, October 17, The Jewish Community Center (The J) held a press conference to announce major grants committed towards its $40 million “Our Community, Our Future” capital campaign project for a new J campus in Louisville. This campaign is the result of a two-year strategic planning process that launched in 2017. This is the most support The J has ever received from foundations.
Because of these generous gifts we have reached a milestone of nearly $30 million of our $40 million capital campaign. The four foundations and their commitments include:
- Kosair Charities – $250,000
- WHAS Crusade for Children – $85,000
- Gheens Foundations – $100,000
- James Graham Brown Foundation – $500,000
