Hillel, located in the Interfaith Center on the University of Louisville Belknap Campus, serving all Jewish students on Louisville’s Metroversity campuses, began the year with a bowling and pizza party at the Executive Strike and Spare on Thursday, September 10.

With 17 students in attendance, “the event went amazingly well,” said Hillel President Larry Forman. “The corner section … where Hillel made camp was probably the loudest and happiest in the entire 30 plus lane room.

“It was wonderful to meet our new members,” he continued, “and to reacquaint ourselves with the veterans. This year, we plan on introducing multiple new events that have not been done in previous years, including laser tag and skiing.”

“Under the new leadership of Tzivia Levin, we hope this year will be our best year yet,” he concluded.

Eliza Zell is Hillel’s vice president and Levin it its director.

Hillel is a program of the Jewish Community of Louisville. For more information, contact Levin at 618-5308 or tzvial@jcfl.com.
