Deborah Lipstadt

Made possible by a generous grant from Jewish Heritage Fund for Excellence, and with support of the Jewish Federation of Louisville, Keneseth Israel presents Deborah Lipstadt. An author and professor of Modern Jewish and Holocaust Studies at Emory University, Lipstadt was sued for libel by a Holocaust denier in Britain’s highest court — and won a landmark victory. She will discuss her book, History on Trial: My Day in Court with a Holocaust Denier, and Denial, the movie based on the book.

Guests at the Meet and Greet will receive a signed copy of Deborah Lipstadt’s book. Proceeds benefit the Ilse Meyer and Ernie Marx Education Fund, supporting a biennial trip for teachers to the U.S. Holocaust Museum.
