Adath Jeshurun’s Shabbat Learning Series

Join us this morning for AJ’s Shabbat Learning Series – 10:00 AM Shabbat Service – 10:40 AM program featuring “Special Guest, Author Farrah Alexander – Confronting Misinformation about Israeli/Palestinian Violence.”
Farrah Alexander is a writer whose work focuses on feminism, parenting, social justice, politics, and current events. She is the author is “RAISING THE RESISTANCE: A Mother’s Guide to Practical Activism.” As an advocate for gun reform, she is a member of the Everytown Author’s Council, which was designed to “harness the power of the literary community to amplify the gun safety movement.” She is also a Jeremiah Fellow with Bend the Arc, A Jewish Partnership for Justice, which aims to combat white supremacy and mobilize communities for social change.
Farrah will show how she works to confront misinformation about Israeli/Palestinian violence, distinguishes between criticism of Israel versus hostility towards its very existence and the Jewish people, and fights anti-Semitism with the same tools that progressives have used to approach anti-racism.
