About 25 members of the Jewish Community of Louisville’s Young Adult Division in their 20’s and early 30’s came to a special social event that included a bourbon tasting on Thursday, November 11, at The Temple’s Klein Center.
Participants had the opportunity to visit while they enjoyed vegetarian appetizers and wine before settling in to hear Heaven Hill Distillery’s Larry Kass discourse on the distillery’s history and the process of bourbon making, and to sample four types of bourbon.
Keeping in mind their Jewish heritage, the YAD group incorporated some tikkun olam into the evening, bringing canned goods donations for the Jewish Family & Career Services Food Pantry.
