A busy and wonderful year at the Temple Trager Early Childhood Education Center
It has been a busy and wonderful year at the Temple Trager Early Childhood Education Center, according to its staff. They are preparing for our summer camp and enrolling students for the upcoming school year.
- They report some changes happening at The Temple Trager ECEC.
- They have extended their summer camp program by two weeks. The eight-week program will run from June 10-August 2.
- They will be offering an Infant-Toddler Program opening August 22, with full- and part-day options.
- They now also offer child care options for days the preschool is closed including Winter/Spring break and Jewish holidays.
The Temple Trager ECEC is looking forward to new programs and hope that they will benefit the many families in our community who desire this type of care. They have also announced that Andrea Melendez will join the Temple Trager ECEC staff as the infant and toddler coordinator.
In addition to these new offerings, The Temple Trager ECEC is maintaining its standard of excellence, its highly academic curriculum and staff.
To extend its loving, kind environment, the children and families of the Pre K and Kindergarten participated in a “Mitzvah of the Month” program. Mitzvah activities included: creating holiday cards for seniors, collecting food for the JFCS food pantry, school supply collection for those in need, Humane Society collection, Hanukkah Helper program, and a diaper collection for the Home of the Innocence.
“We know that the children have learned a great deal about helping others through these wonderful projects,” said ECEC Director Alison Roemer. “Many thanks to Judy Tiell, JFCS [Jewish Family & Career Services] executive director, and Pat Gusoff, pre-K teacher at the Temple Trager ECEC, for coordinating the program.”
