Rabbi Shmully Litvin is teaching a free three-week course, “Heaven on Earth,” which explains the central role the Temple plays in the Jews’ mission throughout history, with an interactive virtual tour. From 7 to 8:30 p.m., July 12 and 19, at the Jewish Learning Center, 1110 Dupont Circle.
Also, Litvin will teach a Hebrew-reading crash course that teaches students to read the language in five weeks by following his program. “Read it in Hebrew” will run from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursdays in August at the Jewish Learning Center. Students also will be introduced to the holiness and depth of the Hebrew language. No prior experience in Jewish learning is necessary. The cost is $50, but the first session is free.
