Sunday Night Live at Virtual AJ

Join us this evening as we welcome the “SH’MA Theatre Group” with a Purim Preview! Listen to cast interviews, and take a behind-the-scenes look at the SH’MA Theatre’s presentation of Live! Werk! Purim.
Last year for Purim, the SH’MA Theatre Group at AJ created a fabulous presentation called: “Live! Werk! PURIM!”, an animated adaptation of the story of Esther. However, that presentation was merely an abbreviated version of a much longer production that provides an even fuller exploration of this rich biblical story. AJ will proudly present the full version on Purim 2022!
In preparation for Purim, hear the cast discuss their experiences of bringing the story of Esther to animated life, as well as the themes of inclusivity, representation, and otherness that went into this unconventional retelling of a classic Jewish tale!
