It is a mitzvah to celebrate Sukkot by eating in the sukkah. It’s even better when you gather with friends for an evening of fun, so Congregation Adath Jeshurun is inviting YAD members to the second annual Sushi in the Sukkah event on Thursday, October 13.
The program begins at 5:45 p.m. with services, followed by the recitation of the appropriate blessings and a discussion with Rabbi Robert Slosberg and Cantor David Lipp. At 6:45, appetizers and drinks will be available while people have the opportunity to socialize.
At 7, there will be a sushi-making class, dinner and dessert.
Tickets are $10 each and must be purchased by October 11th at 5 p.m. to enable the chef to order fresh seafood and supplies for each person. To make your reservation, go online to www.adathjeshurun.com/sushi or call the AJ office, 458-5359 and pay with a credit card.
For more information, contact YAD Director Tzivia Levin, tlevin@jewishlouisville.org or 238-2715. YAD is the Jewish Community of Louisville’s Young Adult Division.
