Continuing in its commitment to offer Jewish young adults in the community to socialize, the Jewish Community of Louisville’s Young Adult Division (YAD) invited those in their 20’s and early 30’s to a happy hour at Bendan’s on April 7. The JCL and co-sponsor, The Temple, provided vegetarian appetizers. Approximately 30 people attended.
As has become the custom of this group, those who attended were also encouraged to participate in a tikkun olam project. This time, they brought household items which were donated to Jewish Family & Career Services’ Meyer Food Pantry. Since household items cannot be purchased with food stamps, there is a great need for this type of product.
