YAD Enjoyed Some Purim Fun at AJ

About 100 people celebrated Purim at Congregation Adath Jeshurun on Saturday, March 19.

The evening started with a Maariv service with a twist. Cantor David Lipp led the service using tunes from Beatles songs. Volunteers also read the megillah.

Following the service, comedian Nathan Wallace took the stage, incorporating jokes about Purim and Jewish culture into his routine, while participants enjoyed hamantaschen, popcorn, wine, beer and a coffee bar.

The party was co-sponsored by the Jewish Community of Louisville’s Young Adult Division (YAD) and Congregation Adath Jeshurun. It was generously subsidized by the Rabbi Simcha Kling Educational Fund.
