by Sandy Braunstein, WRJ President, The Temple, Congregation Adath Israel Brith Sholom

Women of Reform Judaism (Sisterhood) of The Temple held its annual Interfaith Coffee on Monday, February 7. WRJ at The Temple has been hosting this event for over 50 years.

More than 275 guests from local churches enjoyed delicious homemade sweets and coffee before the educational program. Each year The Temple’s rabbis work with the Sisterhood to develop a meaningful experience for their interfaith guests. This year the program, Sacred Music and Sacred Texts, was led by Rabbis Gaylia Rooks and Joe Rooks Rapport, assisted by Soloist Jennifer Diamond and Dr. Louis Bailey, director of music at The Temple.

Some of the guests said they have been coming to the coffee for years and look forward to it each year.
