It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s Winter Camp at the JCC! A boring day off school for children means a day of super fun at the JCC, as each child can “Be a Hero” during Winter Camp, December 21-January 4.

”Everyday we will have fun exploring super heroes and what makes them great,” says Julie Hollander, senior director of youth services. “Kids will solve mysteries like Batman and Batgirl, become as strong as the Incredible Hulk and show their American pride like Captain America.”

Be a Hero Winter Camp is open to children in Preschool-5th grade from 7:30 a.m.-6 p.m. Every day includes sports, arts and crafts and a snack, with swimming daily for children in Kindergarten –5th grade.

Specialty camps run for two or three days and are open to Kindergarten through 5th grade. Lego camps include building engineering marvels or an extreme expedition adventure. Specialty camps run from 9 a.m.-12 p.m., with extended day options available until 6 p.m. Snacks are provided.
