PJ Library Hanukkah Kit Pick-Up

With the holidays coming up and many families still doing their best to stay healthy at home we want to offer kits that include age-appropriate activities for Hanukkah! All of the kits are available for free to families raising Jewish children at no cost.

Pick Up December 6, from 2:00-4:00 pm at 3700 Dutchmans Lane (The Camp Building)


Hanukkah Survival kits for middle school-aged kids. Kits will be delivered Dec. 7- Dec. 10.

The kit will include Dreidel, gelt, cookie mix, candy, hot chocolate, a game and other surprises…


Virtual Chanukah Cooking Demonstration with James Beard Foundation Award-Winning Chef Michael Solomonov
December 6 @ 5:00 pm – 6:30 pm

Get ready for the holidays and join us for a delectable evening with James Beard Foundation Award-Winning Chef Michael Solomonov, Executive Chef and Co-owner of Zahav! Fire up your cooking skills and learn how to make mouth-watering holiday dishes like Apple Shrub, Abe Fisher’s Potato Latkes, Roman Artichokes with Arugula and Olive Oil, Poached Salmon and, Sfenj with Cinnamon and Sugar. Event password, recipes, and ingredient list will be sent before the event.

PJ Library Sticky Fingers Virtual Hanukkah Cooking Class for Children

Pair the love of reading with food with a Hanukkah literature + cooking class!

The Sticky Fingers Cooks + Books series combines kids’ love of story time with their excitement and eagerness to get in the kitchen! A highly experienced, passionate, creative and dedicated chef instructor will join us virtually while everyone remains in the familiarity, safety and comfort of their own homes. Sticky Fingers Virtual Hanukkah Cooking class for PJ library families will be held Sunday, Dec. 13. A session for older kids, grades K to 4, will be held at 2 p.m. followed by a pre-K to 2 session at 4 p.m.
