Membership Communications – 04.20.2020

April 20, 2020

Dear J Family and Friends,

First and foremost, we hope that each of you are safe and healthy. As we continue to navigate these difficult times, we are committed to keeping you up to date. As you know, our JCC building will remain closed through May 1. We are hearing promising talk, however, from our state and local officials that gyms may be on the list of public facilities that could be re-opened sooner rather than later. As we hear more, we will absolutely let you know!

You and our JCC staff are the heart of who we are. We have committed to paying our full-time staff throughout the first month of closure and will continue to do so for the near future. Our staff is preparing for every scenario in order to re-open, whether in phases or all at once, with your health and well-being as our top priority.

In the meantime, we hope that you are accessing our Virtual JCC online programs and activities. We continue to build this programming daily and as always welcome your feedback. Please let us know your thoughts at info@jewishlouisville.org.

We continue to thank you in supporting the JCC, our staff and the programming and activities that you and your family have come to depend on.

We ask you to consider these options:

  • Yes! I/we want to continue supporting The J, including staff, as well as activities and fitness programming for myself and my family members in our home and will continue paying monthly dues. The J Community thanks you so much and no action is needed on your part. The current billing cycle will run on Monday, April 27.
  • I/we need to suspend membership for the upcoming billing cycle. We understand and ask you to please email yourjcc@jewishlouisville.org by Thursday, April 23 at noon to let us know.
  • I/we are unable to pay dues in full at this time, but would like to continue supporting The J in a way that helps. Please contact our Membership Department by emailing yourjcc@jewishlouisville.org for giving options. We are so appreciative.
  • If you have already contacted us to suspend your account, you do not need to take any further action.

Together, we will get through this and come back together at the J soon. Thank you for your continued support.

Our very best to you and your family.

Sincerely,

Jon Fleischaker
