The late Ernie Marx and Ilse Meyer survived the Holocaust and were passionate about ensuring that such a catastrophe will never happen again. Their friends in the community created a Holocaust Education Fund in their names to support the Jewish Community of Louisville’s annual teachers’ trip to the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum, which also includes related Holocaust curriculum and teacher workshops.
