Students and Seniors Join for Model Seder

Twenty-five Louisville Beit Sefer Yachad sixth grade students, led by Rabbi Miles joined 50 seniors and their guests for this year’s Intergenerational Interfaith Model Seder on Wednesday, April 4.

In 2008 this program was specifically dedicated to the memory of one of Senior Adult’s most treasured members, Judith Bensinger. For many years Judith not only attended the Senior Adult programs, but was an active volunteer.

Judith loved the Model Seder and, with the help of her children, Margot Barr, Carl Bensinger, Anne Schaffer and other family members, the program will continue thanks to a Second Century Fund established in Judith’s name.

On behalf of all who attend this program, the Senior Adult Department would like to thank Margot Barr, Carl Bensinger, Ann Schaffer and the extended Bensinger family for keeping this tradition of Jewish faith alive by their continuing support of this exceptional event.
