School Year Starts at LJDS

On August 30, students at the Louisville Jewish Day School started the 2010-2011 school year. The new LJDS reports that students from all branches of Judaism are welcome and enrolled.

New staff members include April Ruth, who teaches first grade and second and third grade secular studies, and Channi Litvin, who is the second and third grade Judaic teacher. Rabbis Joel Wasser and Stanley Miles are returning as Hebrew enrichment teachers.

The school would like to thank the Board of Directors of Congregation Anshei Sfard for allowing them to rent classroom space in their educational wing and the Jewish Community of Louisville for their generous allocation. The LJDS would not have been able to continue without help from these two organizations.
