Save the date! The 2011 Goldstein/Leibson Scholar-in-Residence program on Sunday, March 27, will feature Dr. Michael J. Cook, a professor of Judeo-Christian Studies at Hebrew Union College in Cincinnati.
With a specialty in the New Testament, Dr. Cook is one of the reasons for the controversy surrounding Mel Gibson’s “Passion of the Christ.” In 2003, he was one of seven scholars selected by the Catholic Bishops to assess the movie’s accuracy.
Dr. Cook is the author of Modern Jews Engage the New Testament: Enhancing Jewish Well-Being in a Christian Environment, in which he examines the trial of Jesus and the history of Judeo-Christian relations.
