PJ Library Calls for Recipes, Artwork for Fundraiser Cookbook

PJ Library call for recipes
We are raising money to help support PJ Library and need you! We are compiling a cookbook full of kosher style recipes from members of our community. 100% of the proceeds from the sale of this cookbook will go directly to the PJ Library program that touches so many of our lives each month and encourages family reading time with a strong Jewish message.

How to submit: Print your recipe on a 8.5 x 11 piece of paper. Ingredients must be separated from the directions. Recipes must be kosher style. You may submit more than one recipe, though we cannot guarantee they will all be printed.

You may include the name of your child’s favorite PJ Library book at the bottom. Please be sure to include your name and contact information, in case there are questions regarding the recipe.

Send the recipe to: Kelly Waterman, 17506 Curry Branch Road, Louisville, KY 40245 OR kwaterman@insightbb.com, no later than September 15, 2010.  Download the form for recipe submissions by clicking here.

PJ Library call for artwork
The PJ Library cookbook is going to feature artwork as well as recipes. We’d love for your child to get involved by sending us a picture they create.* Ideally, the picture would reflect their favorite PJ Library book: a specific character, a theme or just an impression that the story made.

How to submit: Have your child draw a picture in the space provided, using a black marker. They can use other colors (markers, pencils, crayons) to fill in the detail. Send it to Kelly Waterman, 17506 Curry Branch Road, Louisville, KY, 40245 by September 15. Download the form for artwork by clicking here.

*Parents wishing to have their child’s artwork in the book must also send in a recipe to be published.

PJ Library call for cover designers
The PJ Library cookbook committee is looking for young artists who would be interested in creating artwork for our cover and/or divider pages. This artist should be in grade 3-5, ideally someone who used to receive PJ Library books and would like to stay involved with the project.

If you have a child who would be interested, please contact Michelle Elisburg, melisburg@yahoo.com.
