At the Jewish Family & Career Service Family Mitzvah event on Sunday, March 14, help create Passover food baskets for those in need and more. The Temple is offering a Passover Workshop on March 28.
Most synagogues are planning second night Seders. Keneseth Israel and Temple Shalom are having a joint Seder on March 30. Adath Jeshurun is offering a choice of two different Seders that night. Sign up by March 19. The Temple is offering a “Hope for Haiti” Seder on March 30. Sign up by March 25.
Music is an important part of Passover. The JCL is pleased to offer for your enjoyment a few free children’s songs for the holiday.
Passover Workshop Is March 28
Rabbi Gaylia R. Rooks will lead “What Moses Never Told You About Passover,” a hands-on, fun-filled and educational workshop, to be held in The Temple Fishman Library on Sunday, March 28, at 4 p.m. First-time Seder leaders or Passover mavens, interfaith families or those wanting to learn more about Passover traditions will not want to miss this event. There is no charge, but reservations are required because participants will sample the special ritual Pesach foods and receive an informative resource booklet.

Joint KI/TS Seder Planned
The Keneseth Israel Sisterhood and Temple Shalom will sponsor a second night Passover Seder on Tuesday, March 30, at 5:45 p.m., at Keneseth Israel. Seder delicacies prepared by Chef Greg will include vegetarian plates.

AJ Second Night Seders
Two very different Seders will take place at Adath Jeshurun on Tuesday, March 30.
A “30-Minute Seder” led by Rabbi Robert Slosberg and Aliza Slosberg Weinstock will blend brevity with tradition and feature the high points of the traditional Seder in a refreshingly brief period of time. The Seder begins at 6 p.m., Passover dinner at 6:30 followed by closing blessings and singing at 7:30 p.m.
“A Different Night,” led by Cantor David Lipp and Rabbi Laura Metzger, will include music, meaning, magic and a bit of a surprise. Candle lighting/Seder begins at 6:30 p.m., followed by Passover dinner at 8:15 and closing blessings at 9:30 p.m.

The Temple’s “Hope for Haiti” Seder
A Second-Night Congregational Seder, hosted by The Temple Confirmation Class, will be held on Tuesday, March 30, at 6 p.m. This creative Seder experience, themed “Hope for Haiti,” will be complete with songs, skits and activities for all ages.
The community is welcome to hear the Exodus story from slavery to freedom in a brand new way. Prices are $20 for adult Temple members; $28 for adult non-members and $12 for children 12 and under. Reservation forms are available at The Temple or online at www.thetempleaibs.org, and checks made out to “The Temple” must accompany your reservation, including names and ages, by March 25.
