More than 150 Come to JCL Health Fair

More than 150 people attended the first ever Health Fair hosted by the Jewish Community of Louisville on June 6 at the Jewish Community Center.

A steady stream of participants took advantage of several free and potentially life saving screenings at the fair, including body fat, BMI and vision screenings.

The Health Fair had something for people of all ages. The youngest participants learned exactly how to keep their hands clean from the Louisville Water Company. Many seniors took advantage of free blood pressure and glucose screenings.

Kosair Children’s Hospital helped to make sure bikers and babies are safe on the roads. They checked helmets and car seats in the parking lot. Participants were also able to help their community by donating blood to the American Red Cross.
