Louisville.com Writes About A Little Night Music at CenterStage

Stephen Sondheim’s A Little Night Music comes to Centerstage beginning this Thursday.

A Little Night Music will be performed on Jan. 19, 21, 26, 28, 30, Feb. 2, and 4 at 7:30 p.m. each night.  Matinees, meanwhile, will go on Jan. 22, 29, and Feb. 5 at 2 p.m. each day.  (Keep in mind, there are no Friday performances.) All performances are to happen at Jewish Community Center of Louisville, located at 3600 Dutchmans Lane near the Highlands in Louisville.

Tickets for each show are $18 per person and can be purchased at the front desk or by calling Jewish Community Center at 502-459-0660.  More information on the show can be found at the Centerstage website.

Lovers, ex-lovers, and new love collide during a weekend in a country estate in A Little Night Music.  Fredrik Egerman has restarted an affair with Desiree Arm feldt.  Desiree’s lover, a County, isn’t exactly happy with the situation despite himself having a wife.  Meanwhile, Fredrik’s son has fallen in love with Ann, Fredrik’s soon-to-be wife.

All parties wind up, invited or not, at a cottage owned by Desiree’s mother for the weekend.  Chaos and plenty of music are bound to happen.
