Louisville Beit Sefer Yachad’s (LBSY, formerly the Louisville Hebrew School) mission is to instill in high school students a solid Jewish knowledge base, a pride in one’s Jewish identity, and a desire to continue to live an active Jewish life upon graduation and beyond.  Students will also appreciate the diversity of Jewish thought and practice as well as a desire to pursue social justice in both the Jewish and secular communities.  We are open to students from all denominations, regardless of synagogue affiliation.  In addition to preparing for confirmation with their synagogue’s rabbi, students may study Jewish ethics and values, history, humor, Torah, music, and mysticism, among other subjects.  We are a member of the North American Association of Community & Congregational Hebrew High Schools (NAACCHHS).
