If you came into the lobby of the Jewish Community Center on Saturday, December 1, no one would have blamed you if you thought you were approaching a grand ballroom. The elegant black and white drapes and tablecloths transformed the area into the entryway for Light Up CenterStage.
This annual fund-raiser is truly a gala event, and this year’s event attracted and elegant crowd.
Those in attendance were treated to elegant desserts, a full bar, a large array of silent auction items, a few special live auction items and a raffle. To top that off, select members of CenterStage’s talented company performed a wide variety of musical numbers, including selections from Pippin, Sweeney Todd, Wicked, Memphis and Urinetown.
The event raised $60,000 and all the proceeds of the evening benefit CenterStage.
